Fun Fall Freebie!

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year!  I love all things pumpkin and there is nothing quite like a cool, crisp fall day!  Fall is also a great time in my kindergarten classroom because it is when my students are finally ready to begin working in independent work stations.  I spend so much time teaching procedures and expectations at the beginning of the year.  This makes station time run so much smoother.  My students know exactly what to do and what is expected of them.  I work at a year round school and we are headed back to school Monday after a glorious three week fall break ( did I mention that I LOVE year round school).  We will be jumping headfirst into literacy and math stations!  Woohoo!

In preparation for math stations next week, I made some fun Candy Corn Number Matching games.  Before break we were working hard on our number sense to 5.  We practiced reading and writing the numbers,  subitizing, representing them with ten frames and tally marks, etc.  In this FREEBIE you will find three different number matching games.  Students will match numbers and number words to ten frames, tally marks, or dice.  Each game includes a two page recording sheet where students can show their work.  This makes an awesome small group review game or independent work station!  You can get this FREEBIE from my TPT store by clicking one of the pictures below!  Enjoy and Happy Fall Y'all!  :)

Welcome to Kuttin' Up in Kinder!

Welcome friends!   My name is Lora Crowley and I am a kindergarten teacher in beautiful, southeastern North Carolina!  I LOVE all things kindergarten!  I think that kindergarten is a magical grade and I can't imagine teaching anything else!  I am very passionate about early literacy and am excited to invite you into my classroom!

Let me begin by sharing a little bit about myself...  I am in my fifth year of teaching kindergarten at an amazing year round school here in Wilmington.   Do any of you teach in year round schools?  Isn't the schedule awesome?!?!  We love our three week breaks!  When I am not "Kuttin' Up in Kinder" I enjoy traveling, photography, reading, running, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family.

Through this blog I hope to share ideas and products, give out freebies, and collaborate and connect with other passionate teachers!
