Fall is my absolute favorite time of year! I love all things pumpkin and there is nothing quite like a cool, crisp fall day! Fall is also a great time in my kindergarten classroom because it is when my students are finally ready to begin working in independent work stations. I spend so much time teaching procedures and expectations at the beginning of the year. This makes station time run so much smoother. My students know exactly what to do and what is expected of them. I work at a year round school and we are headed back to school Monday after a glorious three week fall break ( did I mention that I LOVE year round school). We will be jumping headfirst into literacy and math stations! Woohoo!
In preparation for math stations next week, I made some fun Candy Corn Number Matching games. Before break we were working hard on our number sense to 5. We practiced reading and writing the numbers, subitizing, representing them with ten frames and tally marks, etc. In this FREEBIE you will find three different number matching games.
